Description
Italian low-cost airline company Wind Jet has started collective dismissal procedures for all its employees (504 workers). According to the company, the discontinuation of business activities is mainly due to the recent economic crisis.
Alitalia, the main Italian airline company, is interested in taking over Wind Jet activities. The company will decide in the next months if and how the takeover may become a concrete business action.
