Description
Uist Builders will make 240 staff redundant due to insolvency. The cuts will affect several plants in Scotland, UK.
The move was blamed on the 'tough trading conditions'. The company was unable to find a buyer and the employees affected by redundancies have already been given notice. The company said it will work with the Scottish government in order to minimise the impact of the restructuring and to help the affected staff find new jobs.
