Description

Anglo-Swedish pharmaceutical manufacturer Astra Zeneca continues their workforce reductions in Sweden and will cut 400 jobs. The cutbacks will mostly affect Södertälje in Sweden. This job reduction was expected.

In February 2012 the company announced they would cut 1,100-1,200 positions at their plant in Södertälje, (see fact sheet 19819). The additional 400 positions will be for economists, lawyers, human resources managers, IT technicians and lab technicians.

The negotiations are not yet completed and the timeline for the restructuring is yet to be announced.
