Description
Svenskt Stål aktiebolag (SSAB), a Nordic manufacturer of commercial steel, has announced that 85 white-collar jobs in Borlänge will be cut. This is equivalent to about ten percent of the employees. The reduction is part of a larger savings plan for SSAB in Europe. The workforce reduction process is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
SSAB wishes to reduce most of the workforce through natural attrition and negotiations will be conducted with the three unions concerned.
