Description

On 13 April, the Commercial Court of Nanterre has ordered the transfer of assets and operations of the logistic company Sernam to the group Geodis. Logistics company Sernam will dismiss between 600 and 800 employees in France. The remaining jobs will be saved: the new owner (Geodis) will take over 622 employees and 37 more if they are agree to change their workplace. 45 positions at Sernam's headquarters are preserved, and so are 65 other jobs in its subsidiary Aster. 62 positions will be taken over by a subsidiary of Geodis (BMV). This brings the number of jobs saved to over 800.

Sernam, which was a former subsidiary of the railway transportation group SNCF, was placed under bankruptcy protection since January and allowed to pursue its activities until 7 May and its liquidation.
