European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Clothing and baby goods retailer Mothercare has announced plans to close 111 stores across the UK resulting in the loss of 730 jobs. The closures are blamed on a 9.5% fall in sales. The move is a part of a wider cost cutting program which includes reductions of UK head office payroll costs.
