Description

German wholesale and retail company Metro announced the restructuring of its German logistic system. A warehouse at Sarstedt, Lower Saxony, will be closed. Operations shall be partly moved to other sites at Bremen, Altlandsberg and Essen.

German wholesale and retail company Metro has announced a cost savings plan that will affect the logistics division in Germany. The restructuring will involve the closure of a warehouse in Sarstedt (Lower Saxony) currently employing 235 persons. Operations will be partly moved to other sites at Bremen, Altlandsberg (Brandenbug) and Essen (North Rhine-Westfalia). In these sites 150 new posts will be created.
