Description
Technology company Siemens will restructure part of its wind energy business as orders of wind wheels have failed to meet expectations. The restructuring will affect two establishments at Voerde, a small city in North Rhine-Westfalia. Winergy, a Siemens subsidiary currently employing a staff of 450 will lose 40 manufacturing jobs. Another 40 manufacturing posts will be cut at a Siemens manufacturing plant which currently employs 810 persons. This plant will additionally lose 70 administrative jobs by natural attrition.
