The news aparked sit-in protests at a number of the Irish shops after it was reported that the company is not paying any redundancy. Therefore, staff will be reliant on statutory redundancy entitlement from the state, which amounts to two weeks pay for ech year of service at the company. Game has 14 stores in Ireland - eight in Dublin, two in Cork as well as outlets in Limerick, Galway, Monaghan and Athlone.
