Description

Indesit Company, one of the largest domestic appliances manufactures, is to close its plant located at None, in the province of Turin, with the consequent loss of 400 jobs.

In 2009, the company decided to close the None plant, but, after some negotiations with the trade unions and local authorities, it reached an agreement that envisaged the continuation of production in None.

According to the company, the investments done in None did not get profitable results; for this reason, Indesit has decided again to delocalise the production to the Indesit plants located at Radosmoko, in Poland. The trade unions reacted to the company's decision by going out on strike.

Indesit has around 4,500 employees in Italy.
