European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Swiss supplier of cement and aggregates Holcim intends to apply for a redundancy procedure affecting 151 of its 352 workers in Jaén and Granada. The management has already informed the trade unions about its intention to close 50% to 60% of its 56 concrete plants.
The measure is blamed on the slowdown in the construction sector. Negotiations on the social plan are ongoing.There is no timeline provided for the restructuring.
