European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The manufacturer of glass and bottles Vidrerías Rovira has applied for a Redundancy Procedure affecting 76 employees (30% of its entire workforce). The plan has been accepted by the majority of the employees in a referendum. The dismissed workers will receive compensation equal to 45 days per year worked. In addition, dismissed workers older than 57 years old will be entitled to an early retirement plan, which guaranties a monthly benefit equal to the 80% of the previous wage.
