Description
The Vosges-based Fromagerie de Xertigny (Lactalis) announced that it is to cut 128 jobs out of 162 and discontinue the production of soft rind cheeses in the first quarter of 2012. According to a recent agreement, affected employees will receive 70% of their gross wage during a ten-month period to find alternative employment and a bonus of EUR 44,500. The 34 remaining employees will continue to work in the company for the collection of milk and primary processing.
