The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
French bank Natixis (BPCE) has confirmed plans to cut 277 jobs worldwide of which 127 in France. On the whole, the bank employs 4,400 people. The restructuring will also involve a hiring freeze in 2012. As of January 2012 there is no information on when the job cuts will be implemented by.
The measures are blamed on the need to reorganise activities in order to mitigate the negative consequences of the financial crisis.
