Description

The French bank Natixis (BPCE) has confirmed plans to cut 127 jobs in its business and investment banking division (Banque de Financement et d'Investissement, BFI) in France. Another 150 jobs will be eliminated overseas. On the whole, the bank employs 4,400 people, of whom 2,815 in France. The restructuring will also involve a hiring freeze in 2012. Trade unions criticized the bank's plan saying that it lacks transparency. As of January 2012, there is no information on the timeline of the job cuts.
