European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Supermarket chain Morrisons has announced plans to create 7,000 new jobs in 2012 in order to staff 25 new outlets. Some 300 jobs will be created in a new distribution centre. Half the jobs will go to unemployed people.
The chain had a 4.6% rise in sales in the three months leading to October 2011.
