Description
On 09 January 2012, pharmaceutical wholesaler Phoenix announced plans to withdraw its business from Poland by the end of January 2012. All 200 employees will lose their jobs. The decision to withdraw from the Polish market was made due to dropping market shares and an upcoming health policy reform, according to media reports.
The Phoenix Group is the second largest pharmaceutical wholesaler in Europe. The group has 146 distribution centres and operates in 23 European countries.
