European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
French car manufacturer Peugeot-Citroen (PSA) is to cut 350 temporary jobs at the plant in Mangualde in the Viseu district (Portugal). This follows the discontinuation of the third labour shift due to negative market conditions and declining orders. The company re-employed the affected workers in October 2010 initially for six months. Their contract were to be extended depending on market conditions.
