Description
Transportadora Nacional de Camionagem (TNC), a Portuguese road freight company, has filed for liquidation. Consequently, 125 workers will be made redundant. This is the result of TNC's creditors voting against the company's administration process and viability plan.
Over previous months the affected workers met with representatives of the Ministry of Economy several times to find alternative solutions. They also organized marches throughout Lisbon to protest against the redundancies.
