Description

Confectionary producer Leaf plans to close down its plant in Aura (Finland) in early 2013 with the loss of up to 140 jobs. The job cuts result from the merger with Swedish confectionery company Cloetta as well as the need to improve efficiency and reduce production costs. 

Part of the production may be transferred to Italy. The group has also announced the closure of production units in Gävle and Alingsås in Sweden (see fact sheet 20117).
