Description

Barclays, a British banking and financial services company, announced that it plans to cut 422 jobs in its technology and infrastructure division. Most of the job losses are reported to be in Radbrooke Hall, Cheshire, but there will be cuts in Northampton and at other sites around the country.

The union representing workers Unite said that it strongly opposed the company sending some of the work to Lithuania, an allegation that the company denied.

A timeline for the restructuring is not known yet.
