Description
Assa OEM, a Swedish manufacturer of locks and integrated security systems, has announced to lay off 96 employees. The 20 white-collar and 76 blue-collar workers employed under collective agreement will be made redundant at Assa's plant in Eskiltuna.
It is reported that the production will be moved to Gothenburg and Romania due to increased competition regarding prices.
