Description

On 26 February 2012, the Bogdanka coal mine announced plans to employ 250 people in 2012. The employment growth is attributed to a recently opened new extraction field (named "Stefanów") in the coal mine.

Bogdanka plans to increase coal extraction from 5.8 mln tones at present to 11.5 mln tones by the end of 2013. Bogdanka represents one of the largest coal reserves in Poland and is reported to be the most profitable coal mine in Poland.
