Description

On 20 January 2012, the Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa (JSW) coal company announced plans to hire 973 people in 2012.

Jarosław Zagórowski, director of the company, revealed that the coal industry in Poland faces substantive lack of qualified personnel and there is intensive competition between coal companies for skilled workers.

JSW is the biggest producer of heating coke in Poland. In December 2011, the company employed nearly 23,000 people in six coal mines in the Silesia region.
