Description
On 21 February 2012, Chinese producer of televisions TPV Display announced plans to shut down the factory in Kobierzyce near Wrocław (the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone) and dismiss 500 employees. The company plans to carry out the redundancy process by the end of March 2012.
It is reported that the redundant workers will receive a severance pay.
TPV has two plants in Poland (Kobierzyce and Gorzów Wielkopolski). The company decided to reduce operational costs by closing the factory in Kobierzyce and concentrating the production in Gorzów Wielkopolski.
