Description

Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile (TPCA), a car manufacturing joint venture, has announced to cut 150 jobs at its Kolín site by the end of May 2012 due to a production decrease. It is reported that temporary agency workers will be most affected by the cuts.

TPCA, which currently employs about 3,000 workers, will shorten the work week to four days and reduce the number of shifts from three to two.

TPCA produces small cars for the European market. The company was established as a joint-venture of Toyota Motor Corporation and PSA Peugeot Citroën in 2005.
