Description

On 30 January 2012, Kompania Węglowa, a large European coal mining company, announced that it is to hire 5,600 people in 2012. However, these hires will compensate for job reductions through natural attrition and retirement. In 2012, for example, the company expects 4,000 employees to leave the company.

The president of the Kompania Węglowa Joanna Strzelec-Łobodzińska said that the company plans to increase the extraction of coal over the next years.

Currently, Kompania Weglowa employs approximately 60,000 people in 15 coal mines.
