Description

On 19 December 2011, the French creative content company Technicolor (Thomson) announced 600 job cuts worldwide in the framework of a cost reduction action plan. In addition, 350 workers at the company's last production plant in France (near Angers) are under threat as Technicolor has lost an important contract with France Television. The group is seeking potential partners for this plant to compensate for the drop in European orders.

Technicolor also expects to cease its photochemical film release print manufacturing operations in Rome, Madrid and London. Technicolor has already cut 625 jobs in 2010, including 327 in France.
