Description
On 6 January 2012, the Commercial court of Épinal announced the liquidation of Nevelt, a manufacturer of kitchen and bathroom furniture, which employed 144 people. The company had been placed in receivership in early November.
The Commercial court decided on the liquidation and subsequent job losses due to the lack of take-over offers.
The Works Council is reported to go to court to press for the solution that 144 employees should be hired by the group Windhurst-Parisot, the owner of Nevelt. According to the secretary of the Works Council the group Windhurst Parisot made a commitment in March 2011 to take over Nevelt in case the company failed in receivership.
