Description
Due to insolvency, the Linz based call centre Kosema is to close its business by Christmas. All remaining 104 employees stand to lose their jobs.
According to the call centre, which was only opened in 2009, this step was due to outstanding debts of a main client in the six figure range. Kosema, by his own account the fifth largest call centre in Austria, has pursued its claims through a judicial process.
No investors were found, thus forcing the company to shut down its business by Christmas 2011. All 104 employees, most of them female and part-time workers, have been registered with Austria's Public Employment Service early warning system.
