Description
The enterprise Carrosúa, specialized in the manufacturing of bodywork for buses, has applied for the Redundancy Procedure affecting 80 employees (22% of its total workforce). The enterprise is said to be willing to dismiss 50 workers older than 55 years.
The employee's representative opposes the measure. The representatives criticize that the enterprise has announced the measure after refusing to negotiate early retirement plans for 30 employees. In contrast to the company's plans, the representatives suggest temporary lay-offs and early retirement plans to stand up to the challenges the company is facing.
