Panasonic AVC Networks Czech, a subsidiary of the Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer Panasonic, is to cut 231 jobs at its site located in Žatec (Triangle Insdustrial zone). The redundancies will come into effect from January 2012.
The company will close the Žatec site and move the production to the main factory in Plzeň. Workers are reported to have the opportunity to move to the site in Plzeň.
The redundancy procedure is said to take place due to the global economic crisis.
