Description
49 of 400 employees at Swep International, a manufacturer of heat exchangers in Landskrona (Sweden), have been issued with redundancy notices. 42 blue-collar workers and 7 white-collar workers will be affected by the internal restructuring process. The company Swep International is a manufacturer of non-domestic cooling and ventilation equipment and is subsidiary of the larger group Revod Sweden AB.
The internal restructuring process is due to decline in demand for cooling and ventilation equipment in Europe. Negotiations with the unions about the suggested redundancies are about to start.
