On 8 November, the management of Limogeoise de Salaisons (former "Madrange") has announced to its Central works council a restructuring plan affecting 244 employees in two plants for cooked pork and poultry meat manufacture.
Last July financier Turenne-Lafayette took over Madrange and changed its name into Limogeoise de Salaisons. The new owner has announced to cut 137 permanent jobs and 107 temporary workers. It will also recruit 86 employees. The company has been subject to restructuring before, having faced 110 layoffs in 2009 (see here).
Last year, Madrange lost 6 million Euro towards a turnover of 273 million euro.
