Description

ETHNOS, a leading newspaper in Greece, announced 120 dismissals at its site in Athens. According to media sources, Ethnos publisher announced his plans for the 120 redundancies in the beginning of October as well as plans for the unification of the daily and Sunday edition.

Journalists of the newspaper reacted to this announcement calling for the General Assembly in the end of October in order to organize themselves.

The Newspaper ETHNOS was published for the first time in 1930 and re-launched in 1981. It was the first newspaper printed in tabloid form. Today it is one of the enterprises of the Pegasus Publishing Group.
