European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 20 October 2011, LG Electronics, a global electronics and telecommunications company, announced plans to hire 800 additional workers in 2012. Some 300 will be employed for the production of refrigerators and 500 for the production of washing machines.
LG Electronics in Biskupice Podgórne plans to increase the production and achieve numbers of 1 million household appliances in 2012 (today LG produces 400,000 household appliances).
