Description

On 11 October 2011, Danish producer of food ingredients, enzymes and bio-based solutions Danisco announced that at least 110 employees will be made redundant until the end of 2011.

The company has recently been sold to the American multinational Dupont. "The company inevitably needs slimlining", the communication officer said at the press release. The dismissals are expected to be the first of three rounds of redundancies. Internal sources in Danisco say that it is possible that another 80 employees will be made redundant in Denmark in the coming year.

Officially, it was not mentioned in which country the following rounds will take place. Danisco has 1,300 employees in Denmark.
