Description
The Medical Research Centre "Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe" will apply for a Redundancy Procedure affecting 108 workers. It is planned that 40 employees will be relocated, 12 ending contracts will not be renewed, so that 56 employees would be affected by direct dismissals. Additionally, those researchers staying in the center, about 150, are said to face changing working conditions including wage reductions.
The measure is attributed to the negative financial situation of the research centre. The institute is mainly financed by the regional government of Valencia.
