Description
Hollming Works, a Finnish manufacturer of heavy and medium-heavy machinery, has announced plans to lay off up to 100 employees from four locations. Hollming Works has started negotiations with employee representatives on the proposed cuts.
Layoffs are expected in Kankaanpää, Loviisa, Parkano, and Pori, which together employ about 500 people. One unit, in Rauma, is excluded from the lay-offs. The company cites unsatisfactory profitability as the reason for the redundancies and does not expect a turn for the better in the near future.
