Description

On 17 August, Belgian branch of Hewlett Packard announced the intention to create 150 jobs in cloud-computing services, after having recruited already 85 new staff. The technology giant intends to focus on the expanding market for computing delivered via the Web. This announcement follows the recruitment of 85 new hires.

Company spokesperson said that although it is expected that two to three years will pass before the sector could grow again, HP decided to start hiring because they intend to act fast and respond to the first signs of recovery.

Hewlett Packard currently employs around 2,600 people in Belgium. As of August 2011, there is no information on the number employed at the Diegem site.
