On 10 October, Veolia Transdev confirmed 180 job cuts following the merger of the transport division of Veolia Environnement - Veolia Transport - and the group Transdev. The new company is the first French private company of public transport. The general manager explained that the job cuts result from the internal reorganisation across all units in France and the merger of regional offices. Veolia Transdev has 119,000 employees, including 49,000 in France.
