Description

Household appliance manufacturer Birton Poland announced 100 jobs cuts at the plant in Sosnowiec. After protests and industrial actions (started in May 2011), the local trade unions and the management reached a bilateral agreement to reduce the 300 job cuts initially planned to 100. Established in 1998, the factory currently employs 650 people (most of them are female).
