Description
Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has announced possible further redundancies of up to 300 workers from its Finnish locations. The company is starting negotiations with employee representatives on the proposed cuts.
These redundancies by Nokia come in the heels of dismissals and outsourcing of over 2000 workers, announced earlier this year. Globally, Nokia is planning to cut 3500 jobs this time. The redundancies in Finland will mainly come from Nokia's Location & Commerce unit. The company is also considering the future of its assembly plant in the southern town of Salo.
