Description
The town council of Parla just outside Madrid has announced the intention of applying for a Redundancy Procedure affecting 200 employees (civil servants are excluded). The measure is blamed on the need to reduce the public deficit of the town council. Various measures are under consideration including early retirement, non-renewal of temporary contracts and renegotiation of work situations for different categories of worker.
