Description
The German producer of heavy utility vehicles, MAN, has made 100 temporary agency workers redundant at its production site in Steyr, Austria. The restructuring is due to strong fluctuations experienced in the order demand. Furthermore, the company has agreed on closing days and shifts off with the works council for the second half of 2011. In the first half of 2011, around 200 temporary agency workers were hired due to personnel shortages which were caused by boosting demand in orders.
