Neckermann Versand,the Austrian subdsidiary of the German Neckermann Group, is to cut 40 jobs in Graz, where currently 360 staff members are employed. A company spokesperson stated that in cooperation with the works council, 'socially acceptable solutions' for the laid off staff are to be found. The firm has in the recent years focused increasingly on doing online business rather than conventional mail orders.
