European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The multinational enterprise Lear has announced its intention of closing down the plant in La Rioja, which will result in 305 job loses. The company representatives stated that the restructuring has been decided as a result of significant decline in turnover. Negotiations with the unions and the labour authority are currently in progress.
