Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The international audit and consulting company KPMG Europe will relocate 180 jobs from Germany to Czech Republic. Accordingly, standardised internal business processes such as HRM and accounting, most of which are at the moment realised in Berlin, shall be run from the office in Prague. The Company aims to render internal administrative services from few locations as a result of the relocation and thus save resources. Most employees that are at risk of being affected from this restructuting will be transferred to other departments. KPMG group employs a total of 9,000 in Germany and 138,000 worldwide.
