Description

The Local Government in Kielce, like other local governments across Poland, has reduced the number of teachers in the local schools by 212 units. The reduction affected 58 teachers on permanent contract and 154 teachers on temporary contracts. According to "Gazeta Prawna" the job reduction in 2011 could cover even 30% of the schools workforce across Poland. Dismissals are due to the "baby bust" phenomenon (during last 20 years the population of pupils in Poland went down by 2 million people) and public expenditure cuts for education.
