Description
Fazer Leipomot, a bakery operation of Finnish Fazer Group, has announced a total of 111 redundancies in three locations in Finland.
Fazer Leipomot is completely closing two bakeries, Seinajoki and Turku. Reduncies amount to 21 and 57, respectively. In addition, the company is laying off 33 of 37 employees, who have processed orders from grocery stores in the capital region. Instead, Fazer Leipomot is planning to expand on-site baking in grocery stores.
Fazer Leipomot started negotiations with employee representatives on the lay-offs in May and has now concluded them with this announcement.
